My Therapy Practice feels more like a school on how to be your authentic self. Authenticity and self-expression require structure, safety and support. Magic needs a container. Our most creative, adventurous and beautifully tender parts need a safe home to return to in order to feel like they can come out and play.
I’m a Safety Architect. I build programs and containers for healing that are a therapeutic intervention just by stepping into them. My healing containers both ask more of you AND allow you to let go of the burdens you’ve been carrying. This is the paradox of healing: when we rise to the occasion of being our most accountable selves, we can melt into the relaxation of self-trust. It is the most exquisite symbiosis. It is the intersection of Discipline and Rest. Protection and Vulnerability. Structure and Spontaneity.
The only way to heal sustainably is to build a rock-solid relationship with ourselves. It is my great joy to be the Safety Architect in people’s lives. I design the blueprint with you and you build it out in the real world!
My practice is an eclectic mix of tools from 16 years of Social Work. Some of my favourites are DBT, Parts Work and Polyvagal Theory. What I’m most proud of is how deeply I have met myself and the work I’ve done to free all the parts of me that felt like they had to hide. Because I’ve met myself so deeply, I’m able to meet others deeply.
My Therapy Practice is located in Toronto, ON in person in The Annex at Bloor and Spadina as well as virtually.
